"Elimination, or renunciation, represented by the disciple Thaddaeus, is the power to let go, release, and deny what is no longer needed. This power is located in the abdominal region. It is through elimination that we create space for new growth, releasing old patterns of thought and behavior that no longer serve us."

Charles Fillmore, Unity’s co-founder, called them the “Twelve Powers.” These spiritual abilities were perfectly expressed by Jesus and are present in every person. We invite you on a spiritual journey to discover how to put these Powers to work and create the life of your dreams.
At first glance, the Powers may seem complex, but they are really practical spiritual gifts that each person uses every day. In this Resource Center we’ll post a variety of materials to not only help you learn about the Twelve Powers but also to help you apply them in your life. Resources will include readings, meditations, and a variety of other materials—all relating to a particular Power.
"Faith is the foundation of our spiritual journey. It is the inner sense that allows us to trust and believe in something greater than ourselves. Represented by the disciple Peter, faith is the power to perceive the presence of divine reality in our lives. This power is located in the center of the brain. It is the assurance that we are never alone and that we are always supported by the Universe."
"Love, represented by the disciple John, is the harmonizing power that attracts, unifies, and becomes compassionate. It is the force that binds us together, fostering understanding and empathy. This power is located at the back of the heart. Love is the essence of who we are, and it is through love that we express our truest self."
"Strength, represented by the disciple Andrew, is not just physical but also mental and spiritual. It is the enduring power that helps us stay the course and persevere, even in the face of adversity. This power is located in the loins. Our strength allows us to remain steadfast in our spiritual journey, cultivating resilience and courage."
"Wisdom, or judgment, is the power to evaluate, discern, and apply what we know. Represented by the disciple James, son of Zebedee, wisdom is the spiritual illumination of truth that guides our decisions and actions. This power is located in the pit of the stomach. It is the divine insight that helps us make choices aligned with our highest good."
"Power, represented by the disciple Philip, is the ability to master, have dominity and control. This power is located at the root of the tongue. It is not about exerting our will over others, but about mastering our own thoughts and emotions. Our power lies in our ability to control our reactions and to choose our actions in alignment with divine will."
"Imagination, represented by the disciple Bartholomew, is the creative power of the mind. It is through our imagination that we envision possibilities, dream dreams, and shape the material world. This power is located between the eyes. Imagination is the gateway to creativity, allowing us to bring the unseen into the seen."
"Understanding, represented by the disciple Thomas, is the ability to comprehend and apprehend. This power is located in the front of the brain. It is through understanding that we gain insight into the nature of life and our place in it. Understanding is the key to empathy and compassion, allowing us to see from perspectives other than our own."
"Will, represented by the disciple Matthew, is the power to choose, decide, lead, and determine. This power if located at the center front of the brain. It is our will that gives us the ability to make conscious choices, to direct our thoughts and actions in alignment with our spiritual understanding."
"Order, represented by the disciple James, son of Alphaeus, is the organizing power that brings balance and adjustment. This power is located at the navel. It is through order that we create harmony in our lives, arranging our thoughts, actions, and environments in ways that support our spiritual growth."
"Zeal, represented by the disciple Simon the Zealot, is the power of enthusiasm, passion, and motivation. This power is located at the back of the head. It is the divine energy that fuels our commitment to our spiritual path, inspiring us to pursue our divine purpose with joy and excitement."
"Life, represented by the disciple Judas, is the power to energize, vitalize, enliven, and animate. This power is located at the generative function. It is the divine life force that flows through us, connecting us with all of creation. Life is the power that sustains us, renewing us in every moment."
