Welcome, to the fall Unity SpiritGroups (USG) session at Unity of Wichita! Our fall group covers the content found in Eric Butterworth’s “Discover the Power Within You”.

The “Discover the Power Within You” text address how Jesus’ teachings can appear contradictory from intellectual & theological perspectives, but these teachings take on a new meaning and significance when they are read and contemplated in the light of spiritual metaphysical awareness. The goal of this course is that you, the participant, is assisted in becoming a spiritual learner on your journey toward finding the Divine expression of the Power within you.

Example of first night’s questions:

1. Has anyone previously read Eric Butterworth’s book, Discover the Power Within You.

2. In what ways did you identify with the Hindu story in the Prologue describing how the lesser gods hid the divinity of humankind within, because it was a place no one would never think to look for it?

3. Reverend Michael focuses on the teachings of Jesus, especially the Sermon on the Mount and the Be-Attitudes. What encourages you to hear this metaphysical approach to Christian teachings in new ways?

4. Did you resonate with the statement: “We often honor all paths to the divine, except the one tradition we’ve been raised within.”
